We’re smack in the middle of winter which means lots of snow, ice, and dark gray skies.
Selling during the Winter months can be a smart choice, and help you avoid increased inventory and competition during the Spring market. But it’s still important to make your house stand out from the other listings during the season
If you’re thinking about putting your home on the market, our professional photgrapher, uses expert tricks to brighten up your listing photos—even if you’re stuck in the middle of winter gloom.
Wait for a sunny day. The winter season isn’t completely devoid of sunshine—and if you want to get the best listing photos possible, it’s best to skip the gray skies, snow, and other inclement weather conditions and wait for a sunny day.
Turn on the lights. Turning on all your indoor lights (even in the daytime) can add clarity and brightness to your listing photos—both of which will grab buyers’ attention.
Don’t forget curb appeal. Curb appeal is just as important (if not more so) during the winter months.
Add some colorful plants to the front of your home and remove any snow from the driveway before snapping your listing photos. The more appealing your property looks from the outside, the more buyers are going to want to check out the inside—no matter what the season.
No matter how great your winter photos turn out, it’s important to allow buyers to visualize themselves in your home—and that means including pictures from other seasons. Be sure to focus on shots of your home’s best features, like that outdoor patio and the bench swing on the front porch.
So, take a good look at your listing photos and see how to get better attention and get your home sold.
